Convert 3D PDF to STEP
You have a PDF in which the part can be rotated and zoomed? Then it already contains a 3D model (usually in PRC or U3D format). We extract it and deliver a clean STEP file that you can keep working on in any CAD system.
How do I recognise a 3D PDF?
Open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you can rotate the part with the mouse, it is a 3D PDF. If you only see flat views with dimensions, it is a 2D drawing – we can build a STEP model from that too, see “2D drawing to 3D model”.
What you receive
A STEP file (.step or .stp, AP214/AP242), a preview image and a short inspection report. If the PDF only contains a mesh (triangles) instead of real surfaces, we tell you beforehand and suggest the right solution.

Isn't that the same as a free converter?
Free converters often only output a mesh or fail on large files. We check the result and deliver a STEP file that opens cleanly in your CAD.
Does it work with assemblies?
Yes. Assemblies from a 3D PDF are delivered as a STEP assembly; we confirm the price after review.
My PDF is password-protected – is that a problem?
Only if you are entitled to use it and give us the password. Please confirm in your order that you may use the model.
